Scarborough is a town in Cumberland County on the southern coast of the U.S. state of Maine. The town is a coastal resort area. Located about 7 miles (11 km) south of Portland, Scarborough is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area. The population was 18,919 at the 2010 census.

Our mission is to help you have fun. RENTALS: We rent bikes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards,and beach gear. We deliver or you can come to the shop to pick up your gear. TRIPS and TOURS: We offer Bike Tours on the Eastern Trail guided by a Naturalist and self guided river trips by kayak or stand up paddle board in the Scarborough Marsh. Both are easy, safe and convenient. Enjoy the fabulous beauty of Maine's largest salt water marsh with its many inhabitants. Nearly three thousand people have enjoyed Fun And Sun River trips and called it one of the highlights of their vacation.

Had my first trip here after nine years in Maine and I have no idea how I went so long without hearing about this gem of a beach! Sprawling stretches of sand great for couples, solo trips, or families. Water was shallow and the warmest I've felt of the Atlantic yet. A hermit crab migration made it a great time to watch and get up close to the wildlife. Looking forward to exploring more of the shoreline in search of more sea glass picking! Great place for shells!

This is the best beach and area I've ever been to, especially for a family vacation! It's quiet, serene, far enough to escape reality, and close enough to shops/entertainment to have something to do on rainy days. They have dog hour in the mornings which is fabulous! Love everything about this beach and this whole area!

The wild beach is full of clams shells and sparkling sand. Take your own seats and an umbrella . Easy to get onto the ebach easily.

Wide open field with rolling hills, well-maintained trails in wooded sections and perfect to get my teen boy's and our dog's energy out. Always fun to take a group and always a fun adventure!

Nonesuch River Golf Club is open for its 17th full season of play. The 203-acre facility features a meticulously maintained 18-hole public championship golf course, a modern 2,500 square-foot clubhouse, a full-size practice range and two putting greens, golf academy, and an experienced, friendly, and professional staff. The 6,300-yard, par 70 layout was designed by Tom Walker of Golf Design Studio.

We stopped over night on our way to Bar Harbor and took a walk along the beach. It was like having a private beach all to ourselves, the weather was unsettled that afternoon, so the beach was empty. The water was warm. My 15 year old daughter was doing cartwheels on the way sand. There were the sweetest baby seagulls running around.
