The best wine experience I have ever had. Christian, our tour guide took us on a wonderfully personal tour of the vineyard and the winery - sharing knowledge and expertise that was extremely enlightening. The tastings were sublime and we were blown away by the whole experience. Such a great thing to do. Fantastic!

Odfjell Vineyards

Dan Odfjell, Norwegian ship owner has dedicated his life to travel and discovery. One particular journey lead him to Chile. The Maipo Valley captivated him and decided to fulfill his dream of crafting fine sustainable wines through organic and biodynamic practices. See the Norwegian Fjord horses, the biodynamic center, walk around the vineyards, learn how the wines are made and enjoy tasting them.

Want to see where Chilean Wine is heading into the future? Odfjell is one of the best stops so close to Santiago to taste the new world of Chilean wine...which includes varieties "new" to commercial Chilean wine such as Cab Franc and Carignan...new styles for commercial Chilean wine such as lower alcohol, higher acidity and less oak....new production methods such as concrete spheres. Beyond the wine, the architecture and beauty of the vineyard, winery and its views are remarkable. Good day trip from Santiago or take the old road to Valparaiso from Santiago and stop by Odfjell along the way.

Vina Santa Carolina

Enjoy the excellent wines and delightful atmosphere of one of Chile’s most prestigious traditional wineries. An engaging guided tour of our facilities, including the park, colonial manor house, old winery, and the large cellar built using the “cal y canto”—limestone and eggshell—technique in the 1880s. During the tour you will taste 3 wines, the experience ends in our new shop.

Having lived 2 hours from Napa for many years, we've been to a lot of wineries. This tour has a completely different focus: it's not a tour of production facilities as much as the best class I've ever had in how to really taste, select and enjoy wine. We took the premium tour that includes higher-end wines, with the time to sit down afterwards, enjoy two wines with paired appetizers, and ask questions of our expert guide. You WILL see the beautiful cellar which has withstood major earthquakes. A couple of hours beyond expectations.
