RioTinto Stadium

On a recent trip to Salt Lake City to see my son, his wife, and my new granddaughter I took the family to see Real Salt Lake play the Seattle Sounders at Rio Tinto Stadium. This is a wonderful stadium but appears to have been built specifically around football (soccer). It is very nicely laid out and very easy to navigate.

Jordan Commons Movies

Here’s why this is Utah’s Best Place to see a movie ! You can get your tickets by waiting in line, at a indoor kiosk here, or from the comfort of your lazy-boy at home via the Internet, or anywhere really. You can also see what’s playing and purchase tickets on the Fandango. This facility has several yummy food options so you can even eat a meal as you watch your movie. The popcorn here gets my vote for the Best in Utah as well ! Along with all your drink and concession favorites. Come on Tuesday and see your movie for $5. They have senior pricing too. Handicapped parking and seating areas as well. Typically they have several screens playing the popular movies.

Bells Canyon Trail

I have hiked this trail many times and during every season. By far, winter is the best time because all the boulders are covered with snow, which makes for a fast hike. Also a lot fewer people. You can make it as easy or as hard as you like. 1 mile round trip to bell canyon lake, 4.5 miles to the lower waterfall round trip or the 10 miles round trip to the upper falls and lake. They are all great. Kids will love the hike to the lake and its short enough to prevent all that complaining.

The Hale center performing arts has amazing shows with two theater options depending on the show. The larger theater is the round witch has setting around the entire stage with a drop out bottom. the other smaller theater is a normal stage/setting. I have seen shows in both and their really is no bad sets in ether
