China Camp State Park

Located on the grounds of an old Chinese fishing settlement, this park includes over 1,500 acres of beaches, hiking trails and picnic grounds.

Wonderful state park with a good selection of trails and coastal areas to explore. So much outdoor recreation to enjoy including mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, camping, picnics and discovering historical facts of the actual China Camp. East facing so typically it's dry and less windy with great views of the bay. Small day fees apply but well worth it and only about 20 miles from San Francisco.

Marin County Farmers' Market--San Rafael

Reviewed By pfefmeister - San Francisco, United States

This is, by far, the best Farmer’s Market in the North Bay. Just a pleasant Sunday, with marginal parking nearby, though plenty, if you can walk 2-3 blocks. Wonderful vendors, with moderate pricing on vegetables. Quite a few bakers, a nice spattering of artisans, kombucha, hot foods, olives - it only gets better as the warm season progresses.

Even though I was born and raised in Marin, live near the Marin Civic Center now, it is always a marvel to visit for business or pleasure with my camera. Miss the cafeteria. Outdoor patio on the 4th floor delightful.

San Rafael Pacifics Baseball - Albert Park

Reviewed By G4967CKthomasj - California, United States

Here baseball is still an affordable national and very local past-time. I've been priced out of attending Giants games, but Pacific's games are still accessible: and they are super fun! Their mascot, Sir Frances Drake (the duck) is a hoot! Always a fun-filled, family-oriented day. I take my grandson to San Rafael on the SMART train. We sing the national anthem, participate in audience competitions, eat healthy fast food and watch good players play great games. We celebrate the boys of summer and take the train home --- all for under $80.

We drove by and then went back because it was so giganormous to check it out. It is truly a sight to see and look at. We drove around it and looked like government building. Didn’t go inside ; doubt we could do in Covid world.
