This property is on the Hotel Savegre grounds, but is a separate business. It is extremely clean and very quiet and peaceful. I was the only client at the time I came. My masseuse was wonderful (and I'm sorry but I've forgotten her name). She has a university degree in massage! Costa Rica is such a smart country to provide a wide range of university degrees. My 1.25 hour message deeply refreshed me and only cost $56 (an unheard of bargain price here in California). The also include a relaxing soak in the indoor jacuzzi pool that has lovely views of the surrounding jungle. Do treat yourself after one of those long hikes!

Mention Costa Rica to most fishermen and they first think of a saltwater playground, but an oft overlooked fly fishing opportunity lies hidden in the misty mountains of the Talamancas. The rivers in this part of southern Costa Rica run clear and cold, and many host thriving wild populations of rainbow trout. The mighty strikes on small dry flies and magnificently colored fish make this a truly memorable experience. This area is a unique high mountain paradise; birds like the vividly colored resplendent quetzal fly overhead and giant old growth forest framed with orchids and bromeliads creeps down the valley walls towards cold streams. Come marvel at this singular fly fishing experience high in the mountains of Costa Rica. No experience necessary as your guide is a traveled and highly experienced expert in the practice and teaching of fly fishing. Two anglers preferred per standard group to ensure quality one-on-one instruction, safety, and to reduce impact on the stream.

Feathers Bird Garden is a carefully designed garden, where we attract some of the most beautiful birds that live in and migrate through the Cordillera de Talamanca. Tanagers, oriols, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, come to our fruit trees and bird feeders. Wether you are birder, photographer or simply a nature lover, you will love to spend hours here, taking pictures even with your phone!!

San Gerardo de Dota town and waterfall are beautiful places to visit. I highly recommend going to San Gerardo if you´re visiting Costa Rica. The walk to the waterfall is beautiful because you walk along the rive the whole way and the Savegre river is absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks to our guide Michael Granados Romero we had an amazing day at parque national Los Quetzales. He brought us to a private property where we had the luck to spot and photograph several Quetzales (male & female). Definitely book Michael Granados Romero as your private guide instead of booking a trip with the hotel. It is worth your money (not even much more expensive).
