What to do and see in San Francisco, California (CA): The Best Night Tours

October 3, 2021 Janette Largent

Every neighborhood in San Francisco has its own personality, from the hippie chic of the Upper Haight to the hipster grit of the Mission. The Marina district boasts trendy bistros and postcard-perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge, while Noe Valley offers quaint and quiet boutiques. Wave hello to the sea lions at Pier 39, and sample local cheese and charcuterie at the Ferry Building. Sit in on a yoga session in Dolores Park or marvel at the Dutch Windmill across from Ocean Beach.

I booked tickets for Alcatraz, but I had to cancel due to Covid 19. After waiting almost two months for Hornblower to refund my payment, I eventually raised a dispute through my credit card company. The credit card company has now refunded the money to my account. My comments are very similar to other reviews, absolutely no customer service! I understand that companies are having difficulties due to Covid 19, with staffing levels and cash flow etc. But even under these circumstances, I don't think it should take in excess of two months to refund my payment. When I booked the tickets, they took an immediate automated payment! If you want to visit Alcatraz, you have to use Hornblower, because they are the company that operate the ferries. But I would be careful before you part with your money. If you can, book as late as possible!

Hi, We booked and paid for our TUK TUK tour in early 2020 for our California trip in Aug 20. Due to COVID19 our holiday has been cancelled due to no flights etc to USA. The TUK TUK co plant has a 100% cancellation policy as long as you inform them up to 24hrs before your tour is due. We informed the company at in June 20 and even though we have been told our tour is cancelled and they processed the refund on the 20th July we still haven’t received our refund. We would have been up for re booking this tour when it’s safe to return to the US but now I will be thinking twice!

For travelers of all ages, eager to test biking skills while experiencing a peak San Francisco adventure, we recommend this guided bike tour across the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito. The electric option enhanced both our performance and enjoyment. Our guide, CJ, a native San Franciscan, shared his deep knowledge of the sites surrounding the bridge while attending constantly to safety-related matters. The views from atop the span were spectacular!
