July 7, 2021 Toi Mattera

San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. The naval aircrafts at the USS Midway Museum will have you standing at attention. A free Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion is the perfect way to unwind after a Saturday night bar-hop in the thumping Gaslamp Quarter.

We provide entirely non-fatal attractions and experiences, as well as escape rooms (rooms full of puzzles that you and your friends are locked into and must find the key to and escape from before time runs out). The 5th Avenue Puzzalarium is home to The Parlour, a fantastic escape room, multiple team photo areas, a generous lounge, a multipurpose room for parties and events, as well as our newest attraction The Floor is lava, which is absolutely dynamite. This was a great activity for our week long trip in SD. The detention room was fun and very doable for our family which includes kids 7 and 9 years old. Our person was Cailee and she was a pleasure to work with. She was very engaging. Highly recommended

I have done 2 of their 3 rooms and they are in the top 5 rooms in San Diego. The rooms have modern "second generation" style puzzles and great effects and sound. The rooms have cohesive stories within themselves and there is even an overarching story across all the rooms. Don't let the location and front lobby scare you off, the rooms are some of the best around.

The Budapest Express escape room was one of the more challenging escape rooms that we have done. Nevertheless, it was fun and made us really scramble to get out in time :) Big shout out to Augustus who helped us with the hints... the hints were very helpful without really giving it away. I would recommend this room to a group who has escaped other rooms before (not for beginners).
