Charleville Vineyard & Winery

This was a combination winery/brewery that offered some nice selections. We were in the area for a Wedding at a nearby Winery and took advantange of the surroundings. The Beer was great, the wine was good, the view and the location was surprisingly relaxing. We found out as we were relaxing with a drink, that there is a rustic B&B onsite, that was much more local than the 25 minute drive to the hotel next to the highway....we would most definitely have enjoyed staying here on site and waking up to the view and having the beer and wine so local!! The drive in is awesome, off a gravel road that makes you feel like you are way off the beaten path. There were only a few other couples when we were there and it was super enjoyable.

Cave Vineyard

The winery sits on a hill above the cave. There is a golf cart to take you to the cave and back .It is an easy walk down to the cave as well. The cave is lit and tables and chairs are inside. There are clothes to wipe the chairs down due to rain running down the surrounding hills. There was a tiny bat hanging in the cave. All food and drinks must be purchased at the winery. The admission fee for the cave is purchasing a bottle of wine.Beautiful surroundings and near historic Ste Genevieve.

Crown Valley Brewing and Distilling

This was a first time visiting this location and I can say it was well worth the trip. The staff was very welcoming and engaged in conversation. My colleague and I were on a distillery tour for the day and this was definitely the best start. We did a flight of spirits and beers and came across a pair of whiskies that when blended together were amazing. They mixed a Honey infused whisky with a cocoa infused one and all i can say is wow. Tasted like a hazelnut coffee. The honey one by itself was also more like a dessert rather than a whisky. All in all a great trip across some very scenic back roads. They have a large indoor seating area as well as outdoor seating with live music (was not planned this particular day).

We had dinner here last weekend and it was amazing. The food was really special and the steaks divine - the chicken and pasta as well. Took home lots of leftovers and enjoyed the dinner twice. The view over the vineyard and pond was nice.
