Petites Cayes

Reviewed By V6464EMjohnd - Davenport, United States

My wife and I made parked at the end of the gravel road near the dump and made the hike over on a Tuesday. Impossible to get lost on the trail and the hardest part presents itself in the first quarter mile. Important to head down from the high trail to the coral/stone along the shore sooner than later as it gets harder and steeper to descend farther down the line. Distance to the center of the beach from the parked car (per Garmin) at 1.35 miles. It took us 50 minutes as footing can be sketchy. Wear tennis shoes, not flip flops. As others have noted, bring water, umbrella and anything else you’ll need as you’re going to a very private natural beach. We passed a family of three returning on our hike in and had the beach entirely to ourselves from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Beautiful soft sand and clear turquoise water. Worth the effort!
