This gift shop is absolutely gorgeous. So many nice items from all price ranges. The people who work there are so friendly. I had to go back a second time on vacation because I loved it so much. The quality of their items from furniture, art work, table settings, wine and all kinds of gifts is a real treat.

This Gallery is an authentic venue for Gullah artists, as well as other artists from various locales throughout the Southern region. It highlights a culture going back to the 1800s to present, yet transcending time while emphasizing a culture that many of us might not otherwise see. The artists are highly talented and diverse.

This place seems to add more and more each time I go. Fascinating local history of the first school for freed enslaved persons by 2 Quaker women. The history continues with civil rights meetings and a cottage where MLK came for rest and reflection and began drafting the "I have a dream" speech. Well worth planning 90 minutes or so. Bring the kids, they'll enjoy it too.
