TRIP TO RYAZAN AND YESENIN MUSEUM

On the second day in the Russian city of Ryazan all morning we were at their Kremlin. Smaller than Moscow but still very impressive. For me it's always amazing to visit Russian Kremlins in different cities. The place is a part of the complex called the kremlin of Ryazan. The place is situated on top of a hill to be protected from invaders; and I was imagining how it was surrounded by water back in those times. A good place to plunge in the Russian history.

The Ryazan mushrooms have eyes.... They look at you while you are eating them...It is a funny story they tell you In Ryazan.... The sculpture is well done and pleasing to the eye but not worth a special trip to find it....it does make a fun photo stop

Удивительно органично вошла в русскую жизнь культура чаепития. И, конечно, обросла множеством необходимых предметов, главным из которых, несомненно, стал русский самовар. Открытый в Касимове (к 850 летию города) музей, стал одной из «визитных карточек» этого старинного города. Благодаря почетному гражданину Касимова Михаилу Силкову и его частной коллекции, мы теперь можем насладиться этой великолепной экспозицией. Если путешествуете самостоятельно, найти музей очень просто. От Вознесенского кафедрального собора ведет ул. Советская, на ней (очень близко от центра) и располагается музей. Входной билет 50 руб. (взрослый), фотосъемка 50 руб., услуги экскурсовода от 150 руб.(зависит от численности группы). Экспозиция насчитывает более 300 самоваров, есть другая кухонная утварь и предметы интерьера. Бессмысленно описывать всю коллекцию. Скажу лишь, что она очень удивила своим многообразием, и красотой предметов декоративно-прикладного искусства. Интереснее, конечно, будет воспользоваться услугами экскурсовода. Очень уж интересные факты можно узнать, тем более, что большинство экспонатов не подписаны. Если заказывать экскурсию заранее, в конце программы будет ещё душевное чаепитие из самовара с пряниками местного производства (120 руб./чел.). Обязательно посетите этот музей, если будете в Касимове. Приятное прикосновение к одной из граней русской культуры.

A very important museum for any Russian I suppose since Pavlov was indeed a great man of science. It's very interesting. The museum gives the feel of the life of the late 18s and early 19s. It's devided in two parts: one about the house he lived (with all the attributes of the time he lived in) and the other about his scientific work.

Interesting monument on WWI with lots of remainders if the Italian army. It's easy to reach from Livek Road 605 going on towards Volce and quite a long time until the monument is on the right side. It's an easy climbe of approx 45-60 min with tremendous views over the nearby Mountains such as Krn.
