This wine shop is near the Mushrooms, or Setas, in the old city. Ana, the proprietor has an excellent selection of Spanish wines including sherry. Most of the wines are from small producers that Ana knows well. Ana is very friendly and more than willing to talk about the wines. In addition to selling bottles, the store offers wine tastings with tapas of cheese and dried meat. We had the red wine tasting and the sherry tasting on a couple of evenings. As bottles are emptied, Ana opens a new ones. So, the bottles on offer for tasting vary from night to night. The prices are very reasonable especially for those of us from high tax countries like the US. We bought 3 bottles to take home and Ana wrapped them in bubble wrap for the trip. If you are interested in Spanish wine, you must go to Lama la Uva.
