If planning to camp, my best suggestion is to make sure what you plan to travel in can make it up the hill - and down - safely. We were in a Sprinter van and all ok. Towable limit seems to be about 15’ with plenty of HP to get up the 18% grades. We were blessed with a very clear fall day and the views were wonderful. Park staff was friendly and efficient, bathroom/shower facility was clean but single channel so a line can be expected on weekends. Site 14 & 16 are best views. Area hiking trails are worthwhile.

Lake Dardenelle State Park

Lake Dardanelle is a nice, peaceful Arkansas State Park. It's always clean and has a very safe feel. Bring a camera because the sunsets from the pier are often spectacular. The visitor center is interesting and the campground restrooms are clean. If fishing is your thing, you are sure to find a nice spot. We kayak and walk here several times per week.

Potts Inn Museum

Potts Inn is a well preserved home built in the 1850s by Kirkbride and Pamelia Potts. The impressive two story home was operated as a hotel for the many passengers on the Butterfield Overland Stage Coach Route. This home has been preserved with period furnishings and, along with outbuildings relocated to the property, serves a glimpse into the life of the Potts Family.

Lake Dardanelle State Park

Reviewed By Deanne A - Arizona

The lake is very pretty. I came on a grey rainy day and loved it nonetheless. There's a walking path around part of the lake and more extensive trails throughout (that I saw signs for but didn't get to explore). Nice facilities for the campground with individual showers/bathrooms. Well worth the stop.
