Museo Gonzalvo

Located partly in what once was the Convento del Carmen (The Convent of Carmen), The Gonzalvo Museum displays some of the artistic works (paintings and scale models of sculptured monuments) of Jose Gonzalvo Vives (1929-2010). This citizen of Rubielos de Mora was not only a member of the Academy of Fine Arts of Aragon and Valencia but also an instigator of the conservation of Rubielos de Mora, for which in the eighties he had already merited recognition by way of the Europa Nostra, the EU Cultural Heritage Award. The museum is in private ownership and, being situated in the rural province of Teruel, it struggles to make known its existence, being financed altruistically by The Association of Friends of the Gonzalvo Museum whose objective is to both maintain and promote the museum. Today there is no entry fee but we do ask for the voluntary collaboration of the visitor in whatever way they see fit. We are always grateful to visitors who share with us their opinions of the museum.
