What could be missing from one of the most beautiful small towns in Europe? As a resident of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber, I wanted to see a tour bring guests back to medieval times through music. The only way to see that happen, was to create it myself. As a professional singer, I've used my talent to create a unique experience for tourists and a rewarding way for me make a living through my passion. When I'm not singing for my supper, I'm working in my shop called Der Schottenladen in the old town.

We visited Rothenburg ob der Tauber in December and were very lucky to visit the Christmas Market in the Market Square. What a beautiful setting for the Christmas market in this charming old town! Drinking the gluhwein and eating German sausages outside in the marketplace while enjoying the gorgeous (and enormous) Christmas tree and decorations was just magical. Lots of little stalls for shopping. Friendly atmosphere. If you are contemplating a visit to this lovely, old medieval town consider travelling in December, when it's even more beautiful.

This store is so cool. You could actually spend ages in there just looking around. They have a koi pond, authentic swords and armour that costs a fortune, and fun medieval village costumes that you can purchase. It also has lots of Harry Potter, game of thrones and Lord of the rings merchandise, so the store is that kind of vibe. The best part though is that they sell authentic quills and ink. So they have a giant book with blank pages that you can test out the quills to try your best medieval handwriting, I loved it.
