Popular place for tourists in the area, so it might get crowdy as it available comfortably also for strollers and does not climb high. You just follow one of the trails along Mumlava river starting at the main bus station. The trail has about max. 2 km and there is a refreshment by the waterfall. Waterfall itself is romantic, cool place. From here you can also walk to Rýžoviště, where some nice hotels with restaurants are situated just as "bee trail" with information boards. The woods around are beautiful, especially in autumn.

Came here to hire skis and also book lessons for our daughter who told us she didn't like skiing a few years ago. She had lessons over the next few days with David who was absolutely amazing, spoke English and was very patient. We would always come back here for the ski hire and David, if he is still around :)

Parking just off the main road, pleasant walk to start with then came to a junction were the path to the waterfall is on the right and uphill, no sign posts. The path which may have been good some years ago is in a bad state and has been made worse by the very recent digging of a wide trench which has been filled in like nothing else that I have seen, someone wants to be taken to task at what has been done with this pathway. Its quite a climb up and the waterfall really is a let down. Advise you look elsewhere, ie the falls at Szklarki Waterfall were much better.

Ski and mountain resort Spindleruv Mlyn

Reviewed By jrc-esq - New York City, New York

Spindleruv Mlyn is considered the preeminent ski area in the Czech Republic with good reason. There is every type of skiing or snowboarding available; beginner slopes, intermediate large open bowls, steep expert mogul runs, and scenic cross country skiing.
What is probably most comforting is the facilities and instruction for children of all ages. At Harmony Club Hotel they have superior facilities for teaching the joys of winter sports. The bunny slope is a real hill, with accommodations for complete beginners, (read conveyor belt lift), and more challenging runs, (read mid-bunny slope and then top of bunny slope), for slightly more advance beginners.
The beauty here is that the more experienced skier can buy a pass for the bunny slope and/or the whole mountain Medvedin. The little ones ski for free all day simply by getting on the j-bar. The unfettered access to the lift give them tons of time on the mountain which is what is needed to get better at skiing. And you can watch or join in with their progress. Then when you are done with the bunny hill, off you go to Medvedin which, at just over 4000 feet, offers fun skiing for all.
The hot wine and beef goulash at the concession stand at the bottom of Harmony definitely hits the spot and takes the chill off. But keep in mind there are restaurants all over so adults can take advantage of all of the benefits of the bunny slope throughout the mountain. All in all it makes for a really fun, all-day family experience. GO AND ENJOY!!!

We had a fantastic tour of the caves. It was great. The views of the stalactite and stalagmite formations are simply fantastic. It takes all of 45 minutes and is cold out there. The formations are great and the climax is the lake. Great!! Though we booked before we went, we were late but there was no problem. Audio is available in English.

Again in Glasswork and again great experience. Lots of fun for everyone. You see from one meter how hard the glasswork is and how hot is inside the factory.Thank you for your visit and positive opinion! That's true, that visit in Huta Julia is an unusual experience, because you can see everything about crystal glass production, sometimes even closer than from one meter.

Glassworks and microbrewery Novosad & son Harrachov

Glassworks Harrachov is the oldest still-working glassworks in Bohemia and most probably in the world. During your personal visit, you can take a factory tour, visit museum of glass, have a beer from our own microbrewery, enjoy a relaxing bath in beer and visit one of our two glass shops.

The excursion in the longest continuously open glass factory in Europe (and probably even in the world) is gorgeous. It's interesting to see the proces very closely. Free beer or nonalcoholic drink included in the price of the ticket is a nice bonus.
And they have fantastic home made raspberry limonade in the cake shop in museum building. :-)

The dam is just beside the road and worth a stop, wouldn't take a big ride to see it. We walked over the dam. Signage is in local language so need google translate to read it.
Activities on the dam like a zip wire and line to go down on the dry side of the dam.
