Cinema roanne

Reviewed By Lordslayer

I dislike dubbed movies and sadly this cinema only screens one movie in original version every Monday.
That makes it very hard for anyone who's unable to go to the movies on Mondays to enjoy an OV film.
And it's only one movie, so even if you can go to the cinema on a Monday, with only one displaying in English, chances are it aint gonna be the movie you'd like to watch.
Apart from that it's a nice place.

Dont forget to visit the smal Roanne neighborhourd St Jean St Maurice. The views from the tower are just stunning. One of the loveliest places to get in this area og France. The Loire river, the areas around and the nice little really french lunch restaurants in the city - what an afternoon to spend :)
There's a circular walk close to the river ....

Port de Plaisance

Reviewed By David R - Neutral Bay, Australia

The Port de Plaisance, Roanne is a key attraction in Roanne situated next to the Loire river,
While the main attraction is for pleasure boats and barges of all sizes and shapes mooring for varying periods, the port offers facilities for other interest groups including a well serviced camping car park, pleasant walks and grounds around the port with safe children's Playgrounds.
Strolling around the port looking at the attractive boats is a well worn pastime for locals and visitors alike.
There's masses of free car parking pretty well all round the port surrounds and while no actual places to eat at the port, the surrounding streets offer plenty of choices for light meals or a fully indulgent lunch!
The town centre with markets, shops, cinema's and tons of restaurants and bars is only a stone's throw away.

Yum Yum, OK so pretty well all markets get my vote and indoor markets have one added benefit...there's usually a decent noshery or two on site as well so after trooping around all that scrumptious food you're always ready for a mid morning snack or better still lunch.
Roanne's indoor market while not the biggest on the planet has something for all tastes...it's exceptionally well diversified in foods and the presentation of all the stands is nothing short of fantastic.....fresh fruits and veg, several great fish mongers and one where you can sit down for a snack or lunch of fresh oysters, clams or prawns with a glass or two of Chablis, great butchers and deli's with an awesome range of meats, poultry ( including pintade and pheasant) and pate's, there's a great and knowledgeable wine merchant with tastings on offer and a delightful wood fired bakery. Don't forget the sensational creamery and cheese specialist it's heaven and to top it all a world class tea and coffee roaster / emporium where you can have a coffee while you make your selection. If you're into food then there's something to delight the senses at every turn. Opening hours:
Every day except Mondays
Tue, Wed, Thur: 8h-12h30 et 15h30- 19H30
Fri & Sat : 8h-12h30 et 15h-19h.30

Wish you could stay here! Great place to do do a scholarship research orresearch an art paper for a journal or periodical. Very quiet. Charming!

Eglise Saint-Etienne

Reviewed By DanishTravelor - Copenhagen, Denmark

Eglise Sainte-Anne

Reviewed By DanishTravelor - Copenhagen, Denmark
