interesting modern sculpture, but you need a little background in Latvian poetry to appreciate the point. next to the beach, and surrounded by a little wall you can sit on and have a snack while contemplating how times change.

Berga Bazars (the Bergs Bazaar)

Originally constructed between 1887–1900, the maze-like pedestrian quarter known as the Bergs Bazaar is a stylish oasis in the heart of Riga. The Bergs Bazaar features a number of restaurants, bars and cafes with outdoor seating in the summer, beauty salons, a barbershop and small boutique shops that offer a variety of items, including antique maps, french wines, exclusive cosmetics and clothing by local fashion designers. There are also various event and exhibition spaces, as well as, weekly outdoor jazz concerts in the summer. The Bergs Bazaar is also home to the Hotel Bergs.

We came across Berga Bazars while walking Elizabetes street towards the clock tower near train station. Got attracted by the title suggesting bazaar. After entering into the passage we discovered quite wide spread inner area, with cozy places both inside and outside, several small corridors. Perfect to calm down after long walk or even short work. Next time worth for targetted visit.
