The Retreat is located in a very picturesque and a truly remote valley of the river Shumak at 1600 m above the sea level, 180 km far from Irkutsk (Irkutsk region, Russia), in the Eastern Sayan Mountains (Oka municipal region, the Republic of Buryatia, Russia), 40km far from Mongolia. The Retreat is accessible only by helicopters (1 hour flight from Irkutsk all year round) or by 4 days of rigorous hiking from Nylova Pustyn (Buryatia)available only in the summer time. It is a sustainable facility. The famous Shumak Mineral Springs are located within 5 min walk from the Retreat.
