This is a very informative, impressive State Park whether one is interested in the war or the beautiful scenery of this site and its picnic facilities. The foundations of soldiers lodges at Washington’s army winter camp in Putnam are visible and protected today. One lodge is available to inspect near the park’s visitor center. It is well worth a three to four visit. Enjoy.
