Capt. Mike made our trip to the USVI the most rewarding experience we've EVER had. My sons (7 & 11) not only tool the helm, but also snorkeled with sea turtles and rays. Mike & his wife Bridget are the friendliest and most knowledgeable people we've met!

Highly recommend! We are a family of four (girls 9 and 12). Chose this as a private excursion on our cruise stop in St Thomas. Booked it prior to cruising. Excellent communication. Met at Coral World, which was pretty damaged by the hurricanes. Tammy was extremely friendly and helpful. She walked us to a nearby public beach which was very nice. Tammy helped us practice breathing/safety/equipment in the shallow water before heading out. She made sure everyone was comfortable first. The scenery above and below water was amazing. Tons of fish and coral and a few hermit crabs! We had done this excursion in Key West before where we just jumped off a boat and straight into deep water. This was much better easing in from shallow water. All of us really enjoyed it. Tammy was great and took pictures which she uploaded ($40 for all) in a couple days. A really fun time!

My husband and I just completed our Advanced Open Water certification check out dives with St. Thomas Diving Club. Other than some scheduling mix ups in the beginning, we were generally pleased with the experience. The dive instructors were very knowledgeable about the area and Thaddeus in particular seemed interested in assuring we had mastered the necessary skills. The night dive was especially interesting and the WIT Con wreck was also good. I can highly recommend St. Thomas Diving Club and their dive masters.

After the hurricane the hotel hasn't opened yet so the beach was very quiet. We launched kayaks from Lindquist Beach so didn't spend much time there. Also it is near the airport, mainly small plains and not many at that but there are a few larger planes in the mid-late afternoon

Thank you Ray and Joshua for an amazing day on the water. We enjoyed the snorkels, sailing & history. Lunch looked great (my husband enjoyed it.. remember I couldn't eat). ; )
We appreciated that Simplicity keeps the excursions to a small group. It makes for a more enjoyable experience when following the guided snorkel tour. We saw all kinds of fish, several turtles and coral. This was the highlight of the trip and we would definitely do this again when we're back in St Thomas.

We visited Coral World last week during our stopover on a cruise (...my first and last cruise!). Coral World was the highlight of the trip, having the opportunity to meet the sea lions and swim with them was truly unique. Many many thanks to Scott, Christine and everyone else at Coral World for the fantastic morning we spent there, and for the great work they do. Coral World suffered from severe hurricane damage last October, as did the rest of the island, but they hAve kept everything going and are rebuilding, and rebuilding better for the sea lions, turtles and all the other animals. If you do one thing in St. Thomas, go and visit Coral World, which also has a lovely beach right next door (Coki Beach) - and good luck to everyone on the island with all the rebuild work :-)

Sapphire Beach

A favorite of windsurfers, the beach has fine white sand and beautiful views of St. John and offshore cays, and offers excellent snorkeling at the reef to the east, near Pettyklip Point.

It was a beautiful beach- we got there early (830am) and had the place to ourselves! Free parking. Rented snorkel gear for $10 and chairs for $9. Snorkeling wasn’t as good as at Coki- BUT the beach was awesome- kids for sure had more fun on this beach. They did have SUPs and kayaks to rent but we didn’t rent them. They also offer parasailing at this location.

The prices were reasonable- the beach attendants great! Umbrella rentals were $10 beach chairs $5 (bring cash) snorkel gear rental $10. Small beach- but perfect! We went before 10 so there were no cruise ship folks- and the beach was QUIET! We stayed till 2- afternoon the people really started filling in. We bought dog treats for $1.00 and fed the fish as we snorkeled- it brought the fish out in droves! We have 4 kids- 5-8-11-13 and they were able to easily swim and play. I would bring water shoes- there is small rocks- glass- and sea urchins (hurts like crazy not poisonous!)
