Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a floating market located in the Damnoen Saduak District, Ratchaburi Province located about 100 kilometres southwest of Bangkok, Thailand. It is established primarily as a tourist attraction and relies on this industry which includes both domestic and foreign tourists. Maeklong Market is a unique, 'must-see attraction' that should be on every visitor's itinerary. It is called 'Risky Market' because there is a train track that runs directly through the middle of the market. Literally within seconds of the train passing through the market vendors have to pull their goods, and themselves, out of the way. The precision timings and movements of everyone involved are fascinating to witness.

Snorkeling trip around Koh Tao was just perfect. Everything was organized well, the group was small (less than 10 people) and the guides were friendly and easy-going (and spoke really good English!) Though we were not lucky enough to see sharks and turtles in the first location where they might have been, -- the guides decided not to loose time and we quickly moved to another location (though it was not mentioned in the schedule) and we found a really large old turtle there, and we had a chance to spend quite a long time with it! The guides really cared about our experience during the trip, showing us many beautiful sea creatures including large corals, incredibly big school of fish (literally thousands of them, it looked like an endless river!) and the turtle of course... My husband and me have been on many one-day trips of this kind but we have never seen such a caring and thorough attention. Great job, guys! And thank you for this unique experience! 4. Private : Floating Market & River Kwai Day Tour

Overchill Tours and Travel

A fascinating day trip from Bangkok to visit Maeklong Railway Market commonly, the trains run through the middle of the market. They would have to preserve the products folding the umbrellas and store awnings to avoid the train. After the train passed, if you look back at the stores are like a magic because the vendors immediately, put the awnings back into their original places the go ahead to visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where can see a picturesque scene of a lively and colorful market with local vendors actively selling fruits, foods, vegetable, local souvenirs and products, rowing boats. Afterwards, depart to Kanchanaburi, visit Allied War Cemetery which is memorial to some allied prisoners of war (POWs) who perished along the death railway line and were moved post-war to this eternal resting place. And take a short time to see important steel bridge historical landmarks and memorials in Kanchanaburi, well known as death railway lines built in World War II.

Having toured most areas in Bangkok, I have found this to be my favorite - so much that I took a friend along for a second time. This is a fun introductory tour of this fabulous and exotic city. Going at night is so different with the lights, fewer crowds and cooler weather. The temples look even better at night. Traveling via TuK Tuk makes it extra special. My guide this time was a young lady nick named “Noon” from the tour group Expique and was excellent. This is a nice combination of culture, history and food at several points across the city. And then to top it off, I enjoyed buzzing back to my hotel on the Tuk Tuk listening to music from my phone playing via blue tooth thru the driver’s sound system. If you can only do one tour, I would highly recommend this one.
