I just completed the 7 day Ultimate North Island tour. It was an amazing adventure that was made even better by our knowledgeable guide Justin. He is a former park ranger who kept us well informed (and entertained) on such subjects as local history, Maori culture, flora, fauna and politics. He also had lots of options available whenever the volatile New Zealand weather decided to take a turn for the worse. It was an immensely enjoyable trip and I learned a lot.

Great picnic area and parking, long drive out and last couple of kms on dirt road but well worth it. Several tracks to walk on. We took the easy one to the waterfall as we had a 5 month baby with us.

Wee Dram Farm Park

Group bookings, day trips, family outings, birthdays and a fantastic place to bring the grandkids. Enjoy a fun day out with our animals, get up close, feed some furry babies and learn about "Country life in Canterbury" with Wee Dram Farm Park. We are an ideal way to spend the day, getting connected, feeding farm animals and meeting their babies, and having fun while gaining knowledge about NZ farms

There's some fun animals and the staff are friendly. If I had to choose between Wee Dram Farm and Willowbank Wildlife Reserve I would prefer going the distance to Willowbank. The kids have fun either way. Willowbank though is more for a wider range of ages. And animals are less in a "natural" setting then Willowbank.
