Kondana Caves

Reviewed By Sairajpalav - Mumbai, India

The Kondana Caves are located in the small village of Kondana, 33 km north of Lonavala and 16 km northwest of Karla Caves. This cave group has 16 Buddhist caves. The caves were excavated in first century B.C. The construction on wooden pattern is notable. One can reach the cave by descending from Rajmachi village. During rainy season, one can enjoy the waterfall which originates from above the mountain which is mesmerizing to watch and enjoyy as well. The caves being very old are still in great condition. _ _ _ I would like to request you all to not throw your garbage anywhere around. Instead keep a litter bag with you and hang on to litter until you find a garbage receptacle._ _ _

Varsoli Beach

Reviewed By vishalpchheda - Pune, India

We visited in March 2018. This is the cleanest beach in Alibaug and not much crowded as compared to other beaches. The water is clear and kids and adults can both enjoy a comfortable and safe swim. There are a few operators who provide various water sport activities here. There are food stalls as well for a quick bite. Ample parking space is available.
