Raglan Boat Charter - Wahinemoe

Wahinemoe is a relaxing scenic tour of the inner reaches of Raglan’s historical Whaingaroa Harbour. With over 122 kms of coastline Whaingaroa (Raglan Habour) is unique in NZ boasting more than 2 million trees planted on the riparian margins during 25 years of conservation. Unique geologic features only seen from the water include exposed Limestone pancake formations from the TeKuiti group that are otherwise overlain by volcanic deposits elsewhere. The captain and crew will provide you with tales, myths and history of the local Moari and early settlers. Just relax with a drink from the bar and enjoy the bird and marine life play in this beautiful habitat where the ancient volcano Mount Karioi dominates the coastline. We operate all year and you can either join a daytime cruise, arrange a private cruise (recommended for more than 10 people) or take our premium Sunset Cruise when Wahinemoe waits at the mouth of the harbour to watch the sun set over the Tasman sea.

What a superb beach - whether you're up top looking at the splendid vista, down in the carpark checking out the surfers, or strolling along the miles of clean black sand. It was a lovely sunny day last week when we did it. Truly memorable. First time we've done it despite visiting Raglan a number of times. In future it will our first thing-to-do rather than our last!

Cool waterfall, which is easily viewable from several view points. The falls are really impressive from the first look out as the waterfall first emerges and is only a 10-min walk from the car park. It’s worth going down to the bottom if you can manage the steps (261 total).
