Very friendly helpful lady on arrival. Art gallery had an excellent display of its current display of quilts and felt works - so vibrant. Murals and other sculptures in town showed a real pride in this little town.

Stayed at the motel across the road. Great meal and a good range of refreshments. I can easily recommend to any traveler passing through Quilpie.

Finally saw the place my father enjoyed as a boy. Easy walk. Lots of birds and plants all labelled along the way. Shady trees. River is too muddy for swimming though.
