It's amazing, you can interact with the animals including the crocodiles, the guides are very friendly and you can stay all day, the children have a lot of fun and learn to take care of the environment.

We did a snorkel tour to the reef thru Lighthouse tours, reviewed separately. The reef is beautiful. Warm crystal clear water and tons of fish, including barracuda, rays, and huge schools of Blue Tangs. Highly recommend snorkeling the reef if you’re planning a trip to the Riviera Maya area.

We went there on a dolphin swim package. You have many different packages to choose from based on what you would like to do. Our package had a maximum of 10 people but we only had 8. When we arrived, they tried to up-sell us for a 4 person more private package with 30 minutes more with the dolphins at $60 USD per person. We declined. The package we got was great.
You learn a lot about the dolphins beforehand. They have a secure locker facility with cameras so you can lock your items up safely. They also have active cameras to discourage any mischief with your locker.
They tell you to take off all jewelry that might harm the dolphin. You store that in your locker. No cell phones or cameras are allowed.
You also need to take a shower and remove any suntan product that is not eco-friendly since it can harm the dolphin.
The trainers are excellent and your program is well rehearsed. First the dolphin comes over to you in the water. He/She is swimming close to the edge and you simply observe. The dolphin does many tricks right in front of you.
Then, allows you to touch the dolphins back, away from the head and blow hole. We all got plenty of chances to do that.
Next you are instructed about how to ride with the dolphin. You are told how to hold your arm and grab the dorsal fin as the dolphin effortlessly glides past. You then bring your other hand to clasp your other hand. The dolphin is like a small motorboat and pulls you quite quickly about 20 yards in the water.
All the while there are plenty of videographers and photographers taking any conceivable photo.
You do this individually.
Then, we all get back into the water in a loose circle and the instructor throws food strategically and the dolphin swims very close to you and you can touch it gently. Our dolphin was about 10' long and very powerful as well as beautiful.
There are other back and forth things in the program but before you know it, it's time to get out.
Then you get to towel off (no need to bring towels - they are provided).
You are then led to the photo and video viewing area and of course they want to sell you your pictures.
I've read other stories of totally outrageous prices but after a little bargaining, we received all of our photos (47) and 2 video files on a USB drive for less than $200 USD. Of course this is expensive but the shots they take are quite impressive and you get a chance to look at all of them before purchasing.
There are lower cost options as well for a single photo in a frame.
So, yes, it is expensive for photos that are professional but they were quite good and plenty of them.
It also came with a free app so you could easily download all the photos to your phone.
The USB stick worked fine in my PC and in my Mac.
I think it's a very entertaining experience as long as you are OK with parting with some money at the end to preserve your memory.

Lovely sand, clear water shallow enough even for kids to wade in. Plenty of little restaurants for snacks and drinks. They even sweep up the washed up seaweed every morning!

We drove from Puerto Morelos on the Route of the Cenotes and after looking at many options along the way, settled on Kin-Ha. For $25 per person we saw two different cenotes. The first was enclosed and had stalagtites and bats along the ceiling. About 15 people were in the water, but it didn't really seem crowded. The second cenote we were driven to in a very "rustic" van. Sometimes it is fun to just feel like you are roughing it and enjoy the very bumpty ride. Our driver was a very friendly older gentleman who helped get us going on the zip lines into the second open cenote. This cenote was open and had a beautiful surrounding jungle. There were only 10 of us going in at one time, so you really felt that it was not overcrowded. The whole experience was a nice 3.5 hour adventure and we decided that we had seen our share of cenotes.

I was a bit skeptical at first because there are not so many shops. I was wrong!
The shops that are there are very nice. The vendors were very nice too.
We found things that were 1/2 off anywhere in Mexico. The vanilla that they sell there was more than half off. Plus one vendor we bought from was so kind he explained where everything came from and what the family does that makes these things. We had a great time talking with him and his family. When we were done he even told us to each pick one thing, not expensive just trinkets. So kind of them to be so nice!
This was my trinket and this beautiful home is across the street. My dream home to be!
