Salto El Puquen

This is a privately-owned fantastic nature preserve with walking trails, unique vegetation and an otherwise largely untouched area. There is a small admission charge (about $2 -- one of the best values you will find) which gains you access to marked walking trails that take you out to the coast. There you will find diverse creatures including sealions, penguins and many bird species -- we even saw nesting red-footed boobies. This was one of the highlights of our visit to the central coast region of Chile.

The beachfront was beautiful. The coastline was just wonderful to see. Our guide, Thomas Poussard took us along the coastline and he was a wonderful guide.

It is a nice, small beach without services, one can take a walk, although the promenande is narrow in some part, especially close to a restaurant that invades almost all with tables. One can take a walk on the rocky Promenade ("rambla"). Parking is only possible at the parking lot close to the beach. One-two hour should be enough.

Posada del Parque

Reviewed By lapacita - Chile

The scenery is beautiful and you can do a lot of outdoor activities. But be careful to take all of your stuff, since the lodge is near the main road it suffers of robbery. The group at I was in, was told to leave all of our precious things (pc, jewelry, cameras, etc) at the room for an activity towards the beach. In the meanwhile someone entered the room without forcing the door and took our things away. The lodge didn't take responsability.

Cachagua

Reviewed By Fasani - Santiago

The good: nice houses, great and long beach, very safe, family oriented, no resorts, just a couple of restaurants and coffee shops.
The bad: many teenagers walking in the streets until very late, some of them drinking and laughing. Nothing dangerous but for sure annoying. This place is where many well known and rich families have their weekend houses.
The police doesn't care, the parents less.
Sad spectacle for a beautiful place

We went there as part of the walk tour that we planned, but we can certainly pass on it. It's just an small cave, very bad maintained and not really amused, there's an statue of a pirate if you want a funny picture, but the only really good thing about it was the small restaurant...very surprised of it.

Liucura By Thalasso Spa

Reviewed By Rodrigo V - Santiago, Chile

We went to Quintero with my wife for a weekend getaway, and this is was the best thing we have done there, it will be definitely a MUST for our next visit! We find the place in this page, we have decided to book an afternoon with massage and the pools circuit. Our first impression was that the pics in the page were too good to be truth, but once there we were able to confirm that it was a reality, the cold pool (using sea water) was our first stop....was nice, but the best thing was the cascade and the view to the sea, then we jump in the hot tub....it was amazing!! I didn't want to get out from there! a short visit to the sauna and back to the hot tub....then the massage, we choose a couples massage and the truth is that I fell asleep almost within the first minute...not sure if that means that the massage was too good, or I just was too tired, anyway my wife enjoy it! (despite my snoring...). Before to go back the hot tub, we asked for the pisco sour and fruits, delicious but the fireplace were we eat it was too windy.
Please be aware that kids are not allowed to go....and you can understand why, the idea is for a romantic escape for couples
Do we will come back? absolutely!!!!
