We visited when we must have been the only people there [unsurprising given the unseasonal snowfalls the day before], but the place itself was extraordinary, and the staff so gentile, and accommodating, of these strange English people visiting in such circumstances. Almost eery in its solitude the setting is so strange, given its scale in such an open landscape, but it is also a little care-worn.
