Mantua, is a beautiful historic city situated in the south of Lombardy, it is located in particularly beautiful Po Valley. Aldous Huxley described Mantua as the most romantic city in the world, and indeed the city offers to the visitor a unique romantic atmosphere with its interlinking squares, arcades and medieval monuments, and meandering river, the Mincio, with its moodily romantic lakes. This beautiful city was one of the greatest Renaissance Courts in Europe and home of the wealthy Gonzaga family, who rose from peasant origins to conquer the city in 1328 and ruled benevolently until 1707. The Gonzaga protected art and culture and hosted several important artists like Leone Battista Alberti, Andrea Mantegna, Giulio Romano, Donatello, Luca Fancelli and Nicolo Sebregondi. Though many of the masterworks have been dispersed, the cultural value of Mantua is nonetheless outstanding. The technique we use is developed from the study and following reproduction of antique objects, the use of colours, according to the typical rules of this type of ceramics. This particular technique, the colours used and the variety of subjects that characterize it, allow us to adapt well to the targets and wishes of our customers.
