The Province of Lleida (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈʎɛjðə], locally [ˈʎejðɛ]; Spanish: Lérida [ˈleɾiða]; Occitan: Lhèida) is one of the four provinces of Catalonia. It lies in north-eastern Spain, in the western part of the autonomous community of Catalonia, and is bordered by the provinces of Girona, Barcelona, Tarragona, Zaragoza and Huesca and the countries of France and Andorra. It is often popularly referred to as Ponent (i.e. the West). It is the only province within Spain that is landlocked.

Craft cheese factory in Vilanova de Meia. We are Montse and Nicanor and we make goat cheese with milk curd, raw milk, and fresh cheese and cottage cheese with milk from our goats. Our farm is in Torrec, also in the Serra del Montsec (La Noguera), with spectacular views and landscapes.

La cerámica negra de Verdú es una marca de calidad artesanal en la comarca del Urgell ya la plana de Lleida en general. Así las formas y el color nos llevan a tiempos anteriores, desde la época medieval. Esto era especialmente importante antes de la aparición del agua corriente. El taller de Cerámica Roca Caus tiene una larga tradición centenaria, fundamentada en la fabricación de los tradicionales Cántaros Negros de Verdú y ha ido pasando de padres a hijos hasta nuestros días. Actualmente, realizamos una cerámica actual y muy diversificada. Encargos personalizados como placas, números de calle, murales, piezas para la restauración y jardinería . El visitante disfrutará del taller donde los alfareros tornean. Podrá ver el antiguo horno de tipo moruno , que data del año 1730. También podemos encontrar la base de barro, que servía antiguamente para fabricarlo. La tienda y exposición se puede ver y comprar las piezas de nuestro taller, así como obras de diferentes artesanos.
