Guado al Melo lies in the heart of the appellation Bolgheri, on the Tuscan coast. The winery is run by Annalisa and Michele Scienza, a family of vintners for generations. The vineyards cover about 15 hectares. The terroir is well-suited to origine complex and elegant wines, which we produce with sustainable and artisanal practices. The heart of our cellear, compleately underground, is a large library about wine culture. It has been placed at the centre of an interesting museum about wine history and culture: there are ancient model vineyards, panels, short films, ancient work tools and viticulture/oenology books. For more than ten years Il Viottolo excursion centre has been organising outdoor holidays which unite discovering our Islands (from a cultural, archaeological, historical and naturalistic point of view), with sporting challenge and the spirit of adventure, sharpening the senses and increasing knowledge, harmonising with the island environment. We propose hiking, sea kayak, mountain bike and sailing excursions for small groups of a maximum of 8 people, small so we can create a group feeling among the participants. The guides, who accompany you, are all passionate about their work and profoundly tied to our territory. Elba is our island the place where we live and carry out the largest part of our activity. Remaining faithful to our philosophy, we have developed our programmes to include other islands of the Tuscan Archipelago and Corsica.

Batzella is a family run artisanal winery estate located in beautiful Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast. We offer guided tours of our vineyards and winery followed by tasting of our red, white and rose' Bolgheri DOC wines. Batzella wines are elegant terroir wines highly rated by critics (Robert Parker, Vinous, Wine Spectator, Decanter, Veronelli, etc) and by consumers all over the world (Vivino, Wine-search). Please contact us on Trip Advisor or on our Batzella winery web site to make an appointment as we do not have scheduled opening hours. The cost is 15€ a person, the tour is conducted personally by the winery owner and normally takes 1,5-2 hours in function of the visitors’ interest. Purchase of wines is possible but not necessary. The prices of our wines range from 15€ to 35€ a bottle.
