The six hour tour only took two. The dept of health had closed down the city due to a COVID outbreak. Everything was closed. Can’t really blame the operator. Probably also went faster because there were just the two of us.

We booked a 4 day adventure tour with Sukia travel and it was amazing! We highly recommend Sukia travel for anyone who wants to experience the wildlife of Costa Rica. Andrè made us feel really safe on the hike through the jungle. He knows a lot about both animals and plants and will guide you in the do’s and don’ts. They helped us a lot before and during the trip, and were always available on WhatsApp.

Just back from a second week with Costa Rica Rios. They do a great job. The guides are superb. They are very attentive to the interests and abilities of their guests and work very hard and successfully to make everyone happy. We were with the same guides all week so you really build a relationship. They don’t just shuttle you from venue to venue. All our lodgings were excellent particularly the Lodge along the Pacuare river. Transportation is in high-quality vans. And of course since it’s Costa Rica you are surrounded by beautiful country, the weather and water are warm, and the birds and wildlife are abundant.

I was in Costa Rica in January, now I have traveled to Colombia. I have waited several months but I cannot shake how HORRIBLE this tour was. We were supposed to have a tour bus but was instead packed into a sedan. At some point the tour guide was alluding to us going to a nicer restaurant and having us pay for his lunch because the office "did not send the money over" for the included meal. I have been on many tours before and many after but this one was easily the worst. Our tour guide was out taking pictures of his own on every site instead of actually guiding us. What took the cake was when we thought we were going to see a coffee plantation but instead he pulls over on the side of the road to a ditch to show us mounds of dirt that supposedly were growing coffee and he said he couldn't take us to an actual plantation because "The Nicaraguans are harder working and the Costa Rican youth are always on their phones now so it won't be worth it". We paid 100+ dollars EACH for a glorified taxi ride across the country. 0/10 don't recommend
