Capital of Puglia, Bari boasts the presence of the Basilica of San Nicola, an important example of Apulian Romanesque architecture. This church is included amongst the most important places of worship in the world, where Catholic and Orthodox worship blend together. You will visit the old town (including the fish market, both Ferrarese and Mercantile squares, the Ancient wall "la Muraglia", the Basilica of Saint Nicholaus, the Cathedral, the Norman-Swabian Castle and walk down the alleys up to the "pasta" street"). You will stop in different locations to taste our most popular street food ( "focaccia", "popizze" and "sgagliozze"). It's possible to personalize this tour by sending us a request or to choose a different meeting point in Bari.

7. Ruvo di Puglia tour: an incredible place of History and Mediterranean Identity

Piazza Giovanni Bovio, 70037 Ruvo di Puglia, Metropolitan City of Bari, Italy Le Terre Di Federico

Ruvo is a town of 25,000 inhabitants almost unknown but that worth a visit especially for the two jewels that it hides: the Jatta National Archaeological Museum and the Romanesque cathedral. Our visit will start from Jatta Museum, we will visit the only example in Italy of a nineteenth-century private collection. The exhibition is organized in 4 rooms: the first contains terracotta vases with geometric decorations dating back to the peucet age of the seventh and sixth centuries BC. The second room contains about 700 vases of Greek or local production. The third room contains over four hundred pieces and several craters positioned on a column. In the fourth and last room you can admire more than 270 artifacts and the vase of Talos. After the visit of the Museum, the tour continues in the historical center passing through the Aragonese tower towards the cathedral, one of the most important examples of Apulian Romanesque style.

The day I shared with Michaela was wonderul! She showed me poligano a mare but first I went to the cave which was a good walk then we went to the beach area! beautiful! I didn't do coffee tasting as it had alcohol. but I didn't mind that. we went to eat at the most delicious restaurant and we chatted about all sorts of different things! Michaela is a lovely person very open minded very kind. I hope to have her for my future trips again. she is so nice and her price is very fair! unlike other tour agents!
