This is not a well-known gallery if you dont spend your summers on Krk but it really should be. It has the best exhibitions on the island and probably a little wider. When we were over the exhibition was called Stars and Guitars and it featured everything from Andy Warhol, Roy Lichenstein to Keith Haring. Really a place not to miss on the island. And if you want to have a drink and a bite to eat afterwards, there is a cute place around the corner called Kusaonica Stirna that i would recommend.

Old Town Center is surrounded with the well preserved entire perimeter of the City Walls. Some parts of the wall are nearly two thousand years old.

Very pretty village with nice restaurants and shops - well worth a visit, or ideally stay a few nights. Nice cove on south side to swim in.

Also known as Eporij, the harbour was already an integral part of the Roman town. It was situated in a tamed natural bay. We assume it was equipped with typical facilities of ancient town harbours. In the medieval age the town defence wall spread out on this place, alternating in straight lines of serrate curtain with powerful towers and bastions, especially on the eastern, more open area.

The imposing ruins of this fortification are located on the Kamenjak slopes of the hill of Sv. Damjan in Barbat. They have for centuries inspired the imagination of local inhabitans and iquisitive explorers. Only lately has it been recognized remnants are parts of one in a series of Early-Byzantine fortresses from the first half of the 6th century.
