What to do and see in Praha 6, Bohemia: The Best Specialty Museums

October 15, 2021 Stefan Strunk

The bohemian allure and fairytale features of Prague make it a perfect destination for beach-weary vacationers who want to immerse themselves in culture. You could devote an entire day to exploring Prazsky hrad (Prague Castle), then refueling over a hearty dinner at a classic Czech tavern. Spend some time wandering the Old Town Square before heading over to gape at The Old Town Hall and Astronomical Clock. Prague’s best bars are found in cellars, where historic pubs set the scene for a night of traditional tippling.

Worth to see if you are interested into buses, trams, trolley-busses etc. Many beautiful vehicles shown in the hall. Disadvantage you are not allowed to enter the vehicles, just one step into, the rest is behind the fence. But you can feel the history!Acceptable price for entrance - 50 CZK/adult = 2 EUR. In some terms you can continue and go by historical tram for a Prague tour.

Forget the breathtaking beautiful architecture of down town Prague and make your way to this fascinating tour of the old sewage works. A monument to engineering and public health. It does not smell! Instead we were taken round by an enthusiastic volunteer who spoke no English but gave us a hand out to use. The “gondola “ trip along the 87 m sewer at the end was a nice touch. Go! You’ll not be disappointed

Model Train Museum is located at Prague 6 near the metro A line station Petriny. Our exposition is intended for all fans of real and model railways. Another popular attraction is the model of Prague's Negrelli viaduct 7 metres long at the scale 1:160. A realistic model of narrow gauge tracks set in the romantic southern Bohemian's countryside is another impressive part of our house of trains.

Bohemia Tradition

The Museum of traditional arts, crafts and jewellery of Czech Republic “Bohemia Tradition” was founded by former tour guides. After decades of traveling through Czech land we’ve discovered almost forgotten family manufactures and factories which created a unique masterpiece of art. Our mission is to write a new story about best achievements of czech crafts. Thousand-year-old history of folk craftsmen should be discovered through their creations. In one place we present a number of famous collections of Czech porcelain and Bohemian crystal, works of modern designers and exquisite jewellery items. From tiny souvenirs to large gifts – everything Czech Republic is proud of.
