What to do and see in Prague, Bohemia: The Best Beer Tastings & Tours

April 24, 2022 Jeremy Dunfee

The bohemian allure and fairytale features of Prague make it a perfect destination for beach-weary vacationers who want to immerse themselves in culture. You could devote an entire day to exploring Prazsky hrad (Prague Castle), then refueling over a hearty dinner at a classic Czech tavern. Spend some time wandering the Old Town Square before heading over to gape at The Old Town Hall and Astronomical Clock. Prague’s best bars are found in cellars, where historic pubs set the scene for a night of traditional tippling.

I took this tour hoping to gain an insight into the communist history of the city and life in Prague now and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The tour took in landmarks such as the unbelievable Strahov Stadium and iconic Dancing House. Gary was an excellent guide and answered any questions I had as well as giving general advice about restaurants / bars etc to visit. It was my first time on an Ebike and it certainly made getting around the city easy even with a hangover! Overall I would thoroughly recommend this tour for anyone but especially if you want to get away from the city centre and see some of the more out of the way bits of an amazing city.

The highlight of this trip from Prague is the Pilsner Urquell brewery tour. Their lager defined the world's most popular pilsner type of beer. The tour also includes the unique experience of tasting the freshly brewed beer - which you can drink only here and in the brewery restaurant! Please note there will be other tourists on the tour. Then we take a short sightseeing walk + drive around the historic part of Pilsen including the church with the tallest church tower in Czechia, the breath-taking 3rd biggest synagogue in the world and the picturesque historic main square. Pilsen was once elected the cultural capital of the EU and is also famous for industry and puppet making.

Hands down just amazing!!! From the moment I booked the communication with the Tour company was outstanding. Peter(the driver) picked me up at the airport and we drove to meet Kevin (the tour guide) at the castle. They both took the time to answer all my questions and explained the rich history of Prague. The tour was truly tailored for me (including the bathroom runs ????). I 100% recommend Kevin and Peter. I was able to see alot in the little time I had available. So if you have limited time this is the way to go. One last thing as a solo female traveler safety is always a concern of mine, I felt safe at all times. P.S. Viator. Peter and Kevin are a power team!

He showed us the north of Prague so we could see the real culture of Prague away from the over priced bars and restaurants, it was the best tour we have ever down. We are an adventurous couple that like trying the different more open minded tour and this was ace, ending in a night at the steampunk style nightclub

Michal did a private virtual tour for my group yesterday, which was excellent. He was engaging, very knowledgeable and the photos were fantastic. He tailored it to the interests of my group, and I got A LOT of positive feedback after. I would highly recommend a tour with Michal, and hope to get to Prague one day to do his tour in person.
