Recientemente hemos obtenido el open water diver en este centro buceo. Solo tenemos buenas palabras, en especial para Hugo, con quien hicimos todas las inmersiones. Nos ayudó un montón e hizo que todo fuese más fácil.
Volveremos a vernos pronto

Playa de Areas

Great beach, especially during the week - on weekends it can be a bit crowded. Clean, white sand. The bar at the beach is great and the people who run it are wonderful. Plenty of hammocks, chairs, umbrellas to rent, as well as paddle boats.

Capilla de Nuestra Senora de La Lanzada

Reviewed By KrisD_pl - Warsaw, Poland

Capela da Nosa Señora da Lanzada is an old chapel. Different sources state different times of construction: either 10th or 12th century. The western facade features a fine rose window. Unfortunately, chapel was closed when we visited. Situated on the A Lanzada beach, it's location is stunning when taking a look from the road - especially at sunset.

Pedras Negras

Strange weather today, a low cloud descended and stayed til late afternoon, so we decided this walk would be good to do as it was still warm. What a treat! A gentle relaxing stroll with stunning scenery. And a couple of good cafes to get a drink and rest our feet. I bet this would be great for lunch too!

Los Horreos de Combarro

Park your car down by the harbour and spend a couple of hours walking around the port area and then the old town. Yes, it's a bit touristy with all the shops and cafe's along the lane closest to the water but there are lots of narrow lanes behind that that afford lots of photographic opportunities. Most of these houses are definitely lived in - washing lines everywhere! Apparently stone balconies in former times meant you were wealthier - wooden ones less so - but I'm not sure if this distinction is still there now. Whether they're touristy or not (and there seemed to plenty of locals in them) the cafes for the most part have great views over the bay - we were told that dolphins can often be seen but didn't spot any ourselves. Our meal of empanadas, croquettes and 'gambas a la plancha' were really good - maybe a bit pricy but we were happy to pay a bit extra for the view!
So after you've done the larger towns - Santiago, A Coruna, Pontevedra etc. do take a detour to this lovely village - as touristy as it might be it's still worth the side trip.

Drank the wine now visited the Bodega Paco & Lola....well situated just off the main road with parking. We were welcomed without an appointment and tasted some wines and of course made some purchases. Good reasonably priced wine with their well branded label!

This is a really lovely to beach to walk along. It gets busy in good weather, especially at weekends, but it feels a bit like it is part of a nature reserve as there are very few buildings on the sea front. Good Surfing waves. This is not the med!

We visited on a sunny, summer evening and almost had the place to ourselves. Trails through the heather lead to rocky outcrops where you can just stand and stare and feel the wind in you hair, and watch the sun set slowly into the sea. The views along the coast and out to the Islands are fantastic.
