The museum and the archeological site give you very strange impressions and make you wonder for many things. There is elevator in order the museum to be wheelchair accessible but the elevator is out of operation. There is an automatic vending machine but it is out of operation (and nobody places a sign as I saw some people loosing money there). There are areas of the archeological site (also mentioned in signs on the road) but once you ask you are replied "There is nothing to see there, therefore it is closed". For some strange reason, the same moment that other sites and museums are not sufficiently manned and partially, for this reason, are closed...here, in this small museum and site there is a watcher every 50m (?!) very eager to say "don't" in everything (situation becomes frustrating if you have your children with you). Some of the important exhibits have been transferred to other museums. The whole archeological site is really small and has "not much to be seen" (More time you spend in order to walk from museum to the archeological site than in the archeological site itself). Various areas and information signs are decayed. I am sorry to say but I was disappointed. Please note also: The site is in significant distance from down town Athens and probably you will have to spend significant time for your excursion. The ticket costs 6 Euros.

This place has lots of good features but if you plan to eat here think again..they refuse to serve food outside and instead you have to go indoors to a smoke filled room. When we were there i asked the waiter to open the window because we had seven small children in our group, but they refused even though the temperature outside was 28 degrees. This is definitely not a place for foreigners who are used to not having to breath in second hand smoke when they are eating. It was bad enough for all my children to have a cough the next day!

The zoo park store is messy and filthy, . The conditions where animals are kept, are appalling. Almost all animals where caged in minimum space, suffering from the ''cage syndrome''. Overall, I would highly advise visitors to avoid this zoo park

Vorres Museum

Reviewed By Colin M - Patras, Greece

The museum has a collection of around 100 paintings covering a variety of genres by contemporary Greek artists which are displayed in the light, airy, galleries. My guess (and it is only that) is that this is unique in Athens. I have managed to restrict myself to only uploading a handful of photographs, but I hope they are sufficient to give the flavour of this unusual museum which also includes sculptures in the extensive Gardens. The original family house is also of interest.
A guide book is available for 10 euros, and a very informative - not to say passionate - conducted tour with a expostion of many of the works is possible in Greek or English if you can make up a party. The museum is generally open only Saturday and Sunday 10:00 - 14:00 (see the website www.vorresmuseum.gr/en/about), but if you are group of 20 or more, it may be possible to visit other times by appointment.
How long a visit? Given that it's a long-ish bus ride (unless you have a car) I would suggest that if you only intend to take a quick glance, it isn't worth the journey! Otherwise, a couple of hours or more - especially if you have a guided tour.

Me and my girlfriend went with these guys on two dives and definitely got what we payed for and more!
Everything from start to finish was just awesome.
Everyone involved were so nice and helpful, and they are pure professionals.
We talked to lovely Caterina who got everything ready for us and explained really well how everything would work.
We then got the wonderful Vassilis who picked us up from our hotel and went with us on the dives. The equipment is really great both new and comfortable.
Vassilis made us feel really safe on both dives by having everything crystal clear.
They then went above and beyond by taking us to the Poseidon temple located about 15 min from the diving center and told us all about its origin and history.
And not to leave out the wonderful Kostas or the Boss who is just one of the kindest people ever.
All in all if you want to dive in Greece go with planet blue!
