The area offers so much. The beach is beautiful and provides opportunity for swimming, boogie boards, surfing for different ability levels. With the outlet from the Onkaparinka there it is ideal for young children as well. Access by the boardwalk is easy and has lovely views.

This park has so much to do, the kids love it. Even has bbq areas, nice grass areas to sit or kick a ball around. It’s great place to bring your lunch and stay for the day and let the kids play

Onkaparinga River National Park

Visited the park in July, close to McLaren Vale but dramatically different. Had a number of walk options. We did the ridge walk about 4kms, with a nice lookout. Paths are clearly marked. The ridge walk was pretty easy until the end which was about 500 metres uphill. Not as bad as it sounds if you take your time. Views along the walk are well worth it. There are easier and harder walks just check the websites or the information boards when you arrive.
