Port Fairy Golf Club

Reviewed By 396wayneb - Canberra, Australia

Played Port Fairy early February. Green fees on a Sunday were under fifty bucks. From the road, you can see the lower and terraced holes, but have no real idea of what is to come. The walk to the third tee is the first time you see the ocean, and it's amazing from there. The walk from 11 to 12, and the subsequent run through to 16 across and around the dunes is spectacular. Great course, great modest clubhouse with friendly staff.

Pea Soup Beach

Reviewed By Navigator10323724512 - Melbourne, Australia

Pea Soup beach was recommended when we stayed at Port Fairy with a young family. I would say it is ideally suited for children who are not strong swimmers as it is well protected, not deep and from what I observed no rips. That said you still get burnt as my feet did because I forgot to lather them up with sun screen. It is however a small beach with rocks to the far right where the children can look around for sea life. As always even though it seems safe never take your eyes off the children.
