Opal Reef

Reviewed By giggsAlvechurch - alvechurch

this trip was very well run by Calyspo, the captain and Lauren ( ?) were particularly good, efficient safety check and explanation of the day ahead, we went to 3 dive sites, had an hour at each, and the middle one we could swim with one of the guides.
Before lunch there was a very informative talk
Highly Recommended !

Agincourt Reef

I went out to Agincourt with Quicksilver. I was disappointed by the reef. It was largely dead. There were colourful fish and I did see a turtle, a reef shark and some interesting coral on the attached submarine ride but overall the day was a waste for me.
I spoke to a couple who had been out to Agincourt some 20 years earlier and they mentioned how beautiful it had been. Unfortunately they were disappointed by the changes too.

St Mary’s by The Sea chapel

Reviewed By SharonJT67 - Durham, United Kingdom

This little chapel has one of the best positions in Port Douglas with the large window overlooking the beach & sea, anyone getting married here would be so lucky, the grounds are well maintained and there is plenty of free parking in the adjacent car park which also accommodates a very clean toilet block, just off the Main Street, bijoux & stunning!

Four Mile Beach

Reviewed By AdrianS2403 - London

From afar this looks wonderful, but the beach is a tropical unspoilt beach so not miles of soft sand as strewn with seaweed and vegetation, but still an amazing sight. There is only one swimming area during the stinger season and this is in Port Douglas so quite a long way to go for a safe swim! We were there is the rainy season so the sea wasn't that inviting.

Reviewed By Obiwan65 - Kuranda, Australia

I have visited this place with my dad and we were not impressed with the overall condition. The park is rotting away and some of the former main walks are closed for renovation. However, we haven't seen any work in progress. One tree kangaroo was kept in a separate enclosure with a concrete floor and didn't seem happy at all. In comparison to other wildlife parks we have visited, this place needs an urgent makeover.
