Port Chester borders on the State of Connecticut to the east. The village name is pronounced with the same syllable stress pattern as that of the county which contains it, i.e., "PORT ches-ter", not "Port CHES-ter".

We recently saw Kacey Musgraves at the Capitol and it was awesome! The venue is historic and intimate, plus the light show they put on with every show is amazing. You can park your car for free at the second floor metro north garage near by and there’s tons of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Also right across the street from the Port Chester metro north station if you don’t want to drive. Lots of restaurants and shops to explore in the area before or afterwards.

The clay art center is a combo gallery with gift shop as well as a teaching center they offer adult and children’s classes. I did the Claydies Night with my friend and it was a lot of fun. I love to stop in to look at the gift shop, I think it’s a great place to find unique gifts and support local makers. They do a Christmas ornament sale around the holidays.
