Poços de Caldas means "hot spring wells". Poços (Ç = faÇade), besides this very peaceful site has got many other interesting places to visit, e.g. the statue of Christ, which is the second tallest in Brazil (only behind that famous one in Rio), the difference is that monument was build on top of a hill, which is part of the second largest cauldron in the world...o'course you can experience a cable car ride in order to get there. Those who visit Poços may also enjoy its hot waters (extinct volcanic area) at Thermas Antonio Carlos, and at Balneario Doctor Mario Mourao (at Praça dos Macacos or "The Monkeys Square", although you will not find any monkeys there, you might see them at Fonte dos Amores ( "Lovers' Fountain") though). Besides that, the nature is exuberant, lots of fresh air, people who are extremely hospitable to travelers, and everyone can experience the best of the local gastronomy, famous all over Brazil. The temperature is never too high (average 68 F or 20º C). It worths a while to watch these YOUTUBE videos: 1 - "POÇOS DE CALDAS - MG PELOS OLHOS DA DRONE VISION - IMAGENS AÉREAS" (aerial filming of Poços). 2 - "WE ARE POÇOS" (video inspired by the worldwide famous Pharrell's song "Happy"). 3 - "O DRONE E A BAILARINA" (The Drone and the Ballet Dancer). That was performed at the Palace Casino (ballrooms), and at Thermas Antonio Carlos (foyer), both in Poços. 4 - "SINFONIA DAS ÁGUAS EM POÇOS DE CALDAS" (spectacle of Sound and Lights, where more than 200 artists are involved). The Cathedral is located downtown Poços de Caldas, surrounded by stores and restaurants. Noticed it needed to have its interior and exterior renewed. In terms of architecture I couldn't find any thing that called my attention. As it is downtown and you will probably be visiting the city's commercial area, you will see it too

We went there by car. Be careful on the road up and down. Beautiful view over the town but please remember to watch to other direction. Nature looks so beautiful.

Free entrance and located close to the Flower Watch and Espaço da Urca and Bondinho. So it is a quick winm free entrance to the 3 store building with limited items.

It is next to the Thermal Baths in the City Center and the Municipal Park. Surrounded by Nature despite being next to a busy street. Registered trademark of Wells. Do not miss it.

Beautiful waterfall not far from the center.It is on the road that runs alongside the mall of Pocos de Caldas. It has some old ruins of the first plant in the region and an explanatory plaque of the geology of the region. The problem is the storage site. To the plant entrance das Antas II well kept but when you take the trail notes that Planca is lacking maintenance. Also the smell in the air probably due to the amount course Dágua receive sanitary dumps and many plastic bags. The City could make an environmental education program for residents. It is a heritage of the city. Well worth the visit still as well as the facilities of the plant das Antas II occupying the same location.

Perfect weather on a sunny Saturday we take the cable car which is a tourist attraction the Sierra de Santo Domingo to the Christ on top. Many tourists from all over Brazil there. But lacks a lot better care infrastructure. The service by the staff is good. But on arrival access the mini park is precarious and it was with dirty track because it does not have selective collection and educational signage. Since last year the restaurant next to the cable car station was under construction and not yet finished. Very building material around on the way to Christ from the restaurant under construction. Also gardening and the lack of selective waste collectors is weak and where there is waste crowd scattered in the Gardens. What is sad for such a beautiful spot. Nature has scored top marks. There are many birds, Seriemas, toucans, etc. Municipal management Note 4.

Situado em um lindo jardim,construção de arquitetura rica e requintada impõe por sua beleza única. No interior as galerias do salão nobre com lustres de cristais italianos lindíssimos ao maravilhoso salão nobre nos levam a imaginar a grandeza dos bailes e eventos de que foi palco no século passado. Restaurado e lindo mantém sua imponência nos eventos atuais.Visita imperdível.

Just an average Fountain that needs renovation to be attractive. It is located on the main plaza and you will see it, because you will be waking on the plaza and not because it is so attractive that you go there to visit it
