We celebrated my husband's big birthday this February in Playa del Carmen and hired Tona to create a feast for 9 adults and 3 kids. He and his assistant Luigi prepared delicous guacamole (some for the grownups, some for the kids), spectacular ceviche, a jicama salad, and assorted tacos. Plus a big birthday cake with a Roman candle as the finale. He was friendly, funny, a little bossy (DON'T put the hot tortillas on your plate until you've assembled all the ingredients!) and made delicious food. It was a great party, thanks to him.

I highly recommend the school, the methods utilized in the Studio is simply fantastic. To watch with a professional, and they are very professional, your own mistake, compare them with other better players and improve that single or multiple mistake is what all golfer shall do. They have done this with all the irons, from the driver to the putter. Then we put in practice on the golf court, you can see the results. I appreciated a lot the patience, the non pressure, the comfortable ambient and the high professional that Philippe is. I also want to mention the attention of Diego in accommodating my needs and immediate response. Just a great experience in an amazing golf court.

If you're looking for serious training or beginner training, The Union is perfect. The gym has won belts and as a first-time MMA trainee myself, I was thrilled with how accommodating the gym is for new people. Mike (who runs the gym) will teach you the moves, and people are paired based on skill. Most of the training is pad training and the best fighters even take time to train new people during class. That said, if you want to compete, there is a serious line of fighters here going all hours. If you think of MMA or Muay Thai in PDC, The Union and Mike cannot be without mention. If you're here long term or vacation, check out The Union, Mike is awesome and will make it worth while no matter how long you're around

Alex is a wonderful and patient teacher. I knew zero Spanish when I first came and by the end of my 70 hours of lessons here (over 4 months), I was more confident in conversing in my day-to-day activities and motivated to keep learning. Lessons were flexible, laidback and fun but effective as they were always taught in Spanish. This was pretty hard at first but it really maximised my exposure to the language and trained me to think like a native speaker (and stop wasting time translating from one language to another) The school is family-run and everyone there always makes you feel welcomed and supported. The inclusion of salsa lessons and cooking classes were also a great way to further immerse in the local culture. If you are looking to learn and improve your Spanish, I highly recommend coming here. My wife and I took a 3 hr cooking class with Karla while staying at Andaz resort. Wow! Karla was great. I must first preface that I found her on FaceBook and she responded right away. She asked us if we had any food allergy (yes shellfish) and what we like to eat etc. She came up with a phenomenal menu. Our class started promptly at 11:00 at which time we met three other soon-to-be chefs. Karla started with the mandatory Mexcalitis which got us started on the Guacamole. We made it from scratch and then we moved on the main course "Axtec Cake" aka Mexican Lasagna. Lots of ingredients - lots of prep and delicious. We also made chicken flautas topped with green sauce & pico de gallo. Once all the food was ready we sat down to lunch and excellent Mexican wines. Kudos to Karla - she is not only an excellent instructor but a gracious and entertaining hostess. (she also emailed the recipes so we can have our own Mexican cooking party) Will return next to see what Karla can surprise us with. Muchas Gracias Muchas Gracias
