Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch

So this wasn't quite the same experience as a zoo, but the price was fairly expensive. 12$ per person, with limited amounts to look at. However the two rescue bears are magnificent and beautiful and for a couple is animal lovers and bear lovers it was worth it. Don't go without eating at the restaurant it was spectacular!

Texas Tulips

I have traveled to the Netherlands and have seen the tulip fields there. Never thought that I would see these beautiful flowers in Texas. There is an admission fee and a charge for picking the flowers. One warning, if you pull up the bulb with the flower, will be charged quite a bit more.
Excellent photo opportunities.

Whistle Post Brewery

Reviewed By DeepBlueDives - Richardson, Texas

We visited the Whistle Post Brewery on a cold rainy day last weekend. The Brewery is owned/operated by the same people/different physical buildings, as the Western Son Distillery.

The Brewery has ample seating inside, with a huge patio area outside. Right next door is the Distillery, with more outside seating and parking.

Quite a few good beers on tap, rotating seasonal's, and a friendly staff. Most were good, with the Bourbon Barrel Milk Stout being the standout winner.

We were there for an ugly sweater contest coupled with a cookie bar of treats. Tours available at several times during the day. A food truck was present, and was serving up good BBQ.

Off the beaten path, next to a set of train tracks. I wouldn't of found this place if not for good friends. I want to come back when the weather is warm, and we can hang outside.

We visited the distillery and now brewery last Saturday during the weekend outdoor concerts. Had a sample of several really great beers. Also tried the outstanding bourbon and a couple flavored vodkas.
Had a really great time. Owners and staff are very friendly and fun. Put Western Son on your bucket list to visit near Dallas.
