Our handcrafted beverages are a toast to the proud spirit of the mountains and the passionate people who shape the region. Stories that move mountains live here, including the legendary Hatfields and McCoys feud, the dawn of Bluegrass music and starry nights spent making moonshine along the Tug Fork stream. Dueling Barrels welcomes you to explore this rich history and culture.
We went on a Saturday. We paid for the tour ahead of time, 2 adults and 1 five year old. We were immediately welcomed and made very comfortable. We did our tasting first. 4 tastings per person which is very generous. They also had juice and rootbeer for kids. The tour was very informative. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. We had a wonderful time and look forward to a return visit in the future.

Seeing a piece of history and knowledge of some of the lives of the ones buried there. Several steps to the top. Be sure to get the driving brochure at the visitor center. Well worth the climb.

the whole area is incredible, seeing the HATFIELD cemetery and the MCCOYS cabin site and well, was so interesting. everything is spread out so be prepared to do some driving, not long distances but a lot of winding roads, we found little hidden gems from the feud years by asking locals, MATEWAN, SARAH ANN, PIKEVILLE and the little downs in between hold tons of history, NEIL WARREN is a wealth of information, the only thing that was nt good was that at a cemetery just down from the cabin site which holds 6 of the mccoy graves is nt open to the public, it seems an old HATFIELD owns the land and cant come to terms with the past. shameful.

Great place to view the cut through of Pikeville , It was interesting to see the terraces on the mountain side, the walk out cage was the only place we were able to see the river whose course had been changed, and we enjoyed seeing the town from that viewpoint ,
Our mission is to create a thriving regional arts hub in Pikeville by championing, cultivating, and presenting the stories of our town, our region, and our world.
