The hike to Nevado Santa Isabel is not long but it can be difficult for some people due to high elevation. The views are amazing. But be sure to bring warm clothes and drink a lot of water during the hike. The weather in this area can change rapidly. Starting from El Cedral, in the outskirts of Pereira, you can enjoy a 12 h walk to the Otun Lake. You would have to sleep in El Jordan or other place (book in advance). It is better to get in advance a mule to bring your things
