The Floating Tin Shed, is the creation of a local Paynesville man. You will often see The Tin Shed floating down Bass Straight on the weekends with live music, dancers and even a fluffy white dog. The design is based off an Australians cattleman's hut and doesn't disappoint.

Was so surprised to see this wonderful creation down on the Paynesville foreshore. Such a great idea with friendly local operators happy to have a chat to the kids! What a site!

If your visiting Paynesville and you have some spare time, come across to Raymond Island and say hello to our local wildlife. Jump on the free ferry for those on foot or bicycle, even bring your pooch and try and spot a koala bear or even an echidna. Depends on what time of the day you visit you may even glimpse one of the many kangaroos as well. Quite often they're close by the ferry welcoming you into their back yard. Bring your food and drinks as there are barbeques, but no shops. So come and enjoy the hospitality of the locals.

Unfortunately the sunrise was a bit over clouded but the walk from the street to Sunset Cove was really pleasant. Easy well patronised walking track walking west beside the lake with swans to enjoy along the way. Great start to the day.

Located at the Paynesville RSL is this lovely and poignant memorial to our servicemen and women. There is also a fascinating array of information boards about the local service people along with old war artefacts and a lone pine
