The whole trip was fun and relaxed. Started by well organised comfortable pick up from the hotel. We were then escorted to a coffee plantation where we had a very informative talk and tastings. The views were amazing.
Next on to breakfast at a hill side resistant with good loos! And amazing views for breakfast.
Then the cycle back...the bikes were a little tired ,but did the job. The route down went through jungles, side roads and rice fields .you saw many aspects of the Bali lifestyle.
The village we road through we stopped and the guide explained the temples and lifestyle. You could ask questions too.
Finally back to a small family enclave for a delicious home cooked lunch. And some wonderful hand painted drawings. Then home to our hotel at about 2 30pm .
The tour was well organised, support vehicle and machanic on hand. Best feature small group of 6 max.
Ideal for any age or ability. The reason only a 4/5 was the bikes were rather tied . Recommend you take cycle gloves if you pre-book the tour ,you do need to use the breaks! I did not and it did not matter but if you have them bring them .also long sleeves and trousers to protect from sun and nippy things. I would not have missed this tour. It was fun ,informative, safe and friendly. Great value for money too

We had the pleasure to hire Wayan via our hotel in Ubud for a transfer to Pemuteran, North of Bali. After a few negative experiences with taxi drivers in Bali, being with Wayan was fantastic: knowledgeable, professional, full of good tips and, above all, safe. If you want to be with somebody who cares for you -and you should- don't hesitate, hire Wayan's company.

True Bali Experience

True Bali Experience is Bali's leading Balinese Owned Adventure Company. An exciting and dynamic family business, True Bali Experience was established in 1995 to provide locally owned and operated soft adventures with the highest international standards of safety, training and conservation. True Bali Experience began as Ayung River Rafting - the island's 1st locally owned rafting company - offers the Ayung River's longest white water adventure, trekking (Rain Forest and village), Cycling in three different location (Carangsari village for Village Cycling, at Kintamani for mountain cycling and at Jatiluwih for Rice Paddy Cycling) In 2001, Bali Horse Riding joined the stable, and with over 20 horses and beautiful Beaches to ride them on, became an instant success. We also have convertible 'topless' VW Safaris for you to tour the island on! Check them out on our product pages. In 2004, working with the Government in aid of elephant conservation, Bali Elephant Camp was established to help care for and promote the plight of Sumatran elephants who along with their 'mahouts' (careers) have become ambassadors for their brothers and sisters in Sumatra. Come and ride one today - our friends in conservation say we have some of the healthiest, happiest elephants they've ever seen! In 2013 our new and fascinating within out camp is pod chocolate. Pod Chocolateis a sustainable chocolate maker creating world class chocolate in the heart of Bali. We believe in organic farming and sustainability without compromising taste or luxury and are supporting our farmers to grow organic while working towards fair-trade practices. Pod Chocolate has developed a range of products for retail and commercial use ranging from our signature chocolate bars, pralines & pod bites to chocolate covertures being used in Bali's finest hotels & resorts and a range of tailor made chocolates and amenities. We're excited to be able to offer so many great adventures all in the one location. That's a Bali First! No other company can share so much excitement in one place. And best of all - that place is our own village. Alit Yudha, the company's founder, had a dream to improve the social conditions in the surrounding villages by encouraging tourism. When the company started it had only a handful of people, and now it contributes to employing up to 200 people in and around the beautiful location (not to mention caring for the elephants!). More about where we are... True Bali Experience is just north of the Sangeh Monkey Forest, across the river from Ubud in the village of Carang Sari. It's a scenic drive passing through lots of local life. Our location is perched on the edge of the Ayung River - over 20 hectares of lush fertile grounds including rice paddies, jungles and small plots of cocoa and chilies. The views are amazing - this is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Bali (but don't take our word for it - come and see!). Our reliable and friendly staff will welcome you to our home, and with a long history of experience in adventure, you can be assured of a quality, value for money experience. And because we are a family business, we also know how to look after families. Children are welcome and we can also provide extra care for people with special needs. Thanks for visiting our website. Send us an email if you have any questions. We'd love to help you and can't wait to welcome you to True Bali Experience!

This was an exciting experience for us! We rode the elephant around the park. There is an opportunity to get pictures and they take a lot. Our guide pointed out some beautiful birds and plants along the way too. You can buy a food basket and feed the elephants too! They even had baby elephants that you could feed! Lunch was included and it was very good. The chocolate factory has great chocolate but because of the heat, we couldn’t buy any or it would have melted.

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

In this unusual place of worship, mischievous simians throng among sacred temples and lush greenery.

Reviewed By Peter M - Hong Kong, China

The forest and its key inhabitants are well maintained and well fed. The monkeys are playful and can be seen wandering around the local area as well, as they have become used to us humans. Being a major tourist attraction there is a bit of crowding and lots of people taking selfies. I was more inclined to sit and reflect and watch the various interactions between haman and primate and consider who was entertaining who??

Both tours were customised to suit our experience etc This is something extra most tour operators don’t bother with but should do. Can’t fault them at all brilliant day & highly recommend group

Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple

Reviewed By Jesseecar

We came here after the busy Tirta Empul and it was our favourite stop of all the temples. You walk down about 400 steps to an 11th century temple and beautiful rainforest. You can hear water running everywhere from the river or the water systems up in the hills. It's very spiritual and a real magical moment.
